Building Up Providence Together
One Shirt at a Time

Roses for Providence project is simple:
Create a hip clothing line of Providence-based apparel to grow pride for the city within and beyond.

It's called Roses for Providence for 2 reasons:

1.) The proof of concept t-shirts that I made with has a beautiful, hyper-realistic rose on the back with "Since 1636" at the top and "The Creative Capital" at the bottom. On the front in a stylish font reads "Providence"

2.) This project is part of my initiative to grow our city's pride amongst citizens and visitors alike. I want people to have this apparel and be proud they are wearing something from this city. These shirts are ultra-high quality, something anyone can be proud to wear to a night out, a semi-formal event, and during day-to-day activities.

Roses for Providence connect with local businesses in 2 ways:

1.) Instead of mass-ordering from some random online sight, I am working with Custom World, the t-shirt design shop located in Providence Place Mall. One of the shop managers and I have created a healthy and respectable relationship as both Providence citizens and global samaritans. He wants to see me grow and I the same for him and his business. Additionally, the Providence Place Mall will gain recognition as this project grows.

2.) To benefit more than just myself, I want to sell these shirts with local businesses, and have already received the green light to work with my friend - also within Providence Place Mall - to sell at her kiosk. 50% of the proceeds are to go to her and 50% to me. My goal is to connect with 10 different local businesses and create a similar relationship. Once the relationship is secured, I will be adding their contact information to my website, free of charge of course as a courtesy for affiliate marketing.

How is my project of direct benefit to Rhode Islanders?

Both economically and spiritually is this project beneficial to Rhode Islanders. These two benefits are reflected in the revenue generated with collaborating businesses in Providence and in the ethos that is built upon Providence's existing reputation.

Flowers can be given to express many emotions, including love, gratitude, and appreciation. Roses specifically represent love. I intend to bring more love to our city and share it with our city! #JoinTheJourney
